Basically those who attack C.T. Russell do so out of ignorance. Being the greatest Bible scholar of the century, he was not apt to suggest such non-biblical nonsense such as "the end of time", or as some allege, "the end of the world", nor even the "rapture of the church", etc. etc. at 1914 nor at any other date.
He did use the biblical terminology "the time of the end" - not the end of the world, but the closing of the dispensation or age or epoch - which would of course overlap into the
next age, the Millennium.
As for the particulars of all this, Sherlock gave a good link to the Pastor's own words, and the horses mouth is the best source, not to call him a horse, of course. I prefer this one for a proper study of the topic.
