Response to Re: Good question

Hi Again Dear Roy,

Has it occurred to you, dear one, as it has occurred to me--that God isn't as Benevolent as we might hope?

Look at the world, Roy--and who is in charge if not God? Is He not Sovereign? Is the Lord not ruling as we speak? But how would we, as raters of government--rate the way things are?

How benevolent is God, in reality?

Its dawning on me, that my own "ideal" perhaps isn't God's? Because it could all be different, yet it is not. Reality shows me that. REALITY, and not "idealism".

To say God doesn't cause these things doesn't really fly with me in that He, at least, allows these things. How about a Mom who "allows" a husband or boyfriend to molest/abuse her own children? Isn't "allowing", even according to man's law, wrong? Who's accountable for the mess the world is in? Is it you? Is it me?

How do you explain that, Roy? I'm all ears--I'm open, dear brother. Believe me, I'm looking for answers, because I'm about ready to give up. happy.gif --rhonda
