i just wanted to comment on when I saw Edwin play a couple of days ago, opening for Live.

Well. That man sure is good looking. But I really didn't like his set. The radio somgs went over ok, (like Trippin, And You, Hang Ten) but his others kinda sucked. Like some song were he keeps saying "I feel amazing" over and over agian. The audience was just kinda looking at eachother like "Who is this guy?" it was seriously awful. hmm. Then he announced he was gonna play a song called Shotgun. Everyone starts cheering. i have to admit I was secretly hoping for a Moist cover! the song was awful. I guess it didn't help that his guitar cut out right at the start. Whatever. I was just thinking how I Mother Earth's latest efforts have kinda paled in comparison with their previous stuff. Too bad they split up. I guess I understand why they split up but i still wish they hadn't..

on the brighter side,Live played and awesome show i was the first bodysurfer to reach security! Too bad you had to miss the concert in Montreal, Sylvie. It was great in Ottawa. I was hoping that they wouldn't play the entire set off of The Distance TO here. They only played 3 songs from it! It was mostly songs from Throwing Copper (my fave Live CD) which was awesome. They even played a song from Mental Jewelery (I think it was Brothers Unaware) and a few from Secret Samahdi.
and 2 encores. WEll it was all pretty fantastic. Except for the people smoking in the moshpit (how can you do that?? go out of the pit at least! my friend got a cigarette burn from someone by accident)

i don't think id want to hear him cover any moist songs... he'd butcher em!!!!

anyways, sadly, i do own the Edwin cd... and even more sadly, i think i even like one or two songs...

and even sadder (sadlier? Hahaha, like i know english ;), i've seen Edwin live too...

at Dunnville, before Moist.... good lord!!! it was AWFUL! the whole time we were waiting for Moist, this girl behind me kept fucking kneeing me and screaming about how she loved Edwin, and how she wanted him to take all his clothes off ahhaHa get a life man... ehehe...

i saw him in the mall once... and i just stared at him... actually he was in Shoppers Drug Mart, then he went to musicworld... he prolly wanted to buy his own cd hehe, that'd be a really looserish thing to do... hahaha...

anyways, yeah, Edwin pretty much sucks....

then again, I Mother EArth opened for Live in Toronto, and they got a bad review too... then again, so did Live... oops...

yah. Edwin. he seems to spawn rather obsessive fans. But then again so do Moist (I'd put in a winking smiley here if i knew how!)
Live is one of those bands that always gets awful critical reviews for their albums and shows but always seems to sell alot of records. Its just cuz they're unoriginal. totally unoriginal. but i don't care!they're unoriginal in a stadium rock way. with their formulaic chords and dynamics! I rather like their unoriginality and un-innovativeness. they're kinda like silverchair in that way. Any Silverchair fans out there? I think they're ok. I rather like neon ballroom. except #4.
