hey everyone!

it's been a while since i posted anything here... i hope you're all doing well! I've been quite busy with work and whatnot.... i miss all of ya!

A few things.. first, the Juno's sucked (in my opinion). They have been sucking for the last 2 years. They will continue to suck unless they get away from the American's way of doing things.. the fact that moist didn't get nominated for anything really sucked... david's hair was nothing spectacular either, so you shouldn't become obsessed about seeing a photo of it or trying to get a copy of the show just for that....the only thing that was cool was nelly furtado winning a lot of awards. she's very cool, even though she beat J. Englishman!

next, i just wanted to let everyone know that moist.com email still exists. if you go to http://webmail.netincome.com/ you'll be able to log into your moist.com email account. thanks to sam who pointed that out to me:)

I understand that the Junos sucks, but i think that Moist fan must see Members appearence on T.V! Don't you think? Junos is a traditionnal gala where we can enjoy the Famous canadians band since a couple of year. It's just great to see our favorite there! Maybe David's hair was the only reason to watch it for a lot of us but, i think that is a big event that represent the best artist in canada and it's why is so nice to see David there! This is why i still want to get a copy too:)

I check this board out a lot to see what moist fans have to say but I've only posted here once before.
I wasn' too impressed with the junos either. Moist wasn't the only deserving band that got shut out. I thought that the Matt Good Band and Wide Mouth Mason both definitely should have won something. I also don't really think Nelly Furtado is that amazing. I think she deserved one or two of the awards that she got but I think there were people in some of the categories who should have won instead of her.
Anyways, that's just my opinion.

I have to agree with Elyssa... The Junos really sucked... BORING... But I am happy that Nelly won because she is an original and authentic... What really upset me is how Tea Party didn't pick up any awards, nor get nominations (except for CD packaging)... They are way more musically talented...

I'm a huge Moist fan a Canadian but I live in the states, and this is not exactly about Moist but I was just curious as to weather anyone else thinks that the Junos tend to favor Canadian acts who have recently become big in the U.S. Nelly, Soul Decision, The Bearnaked Ladies and Nickelback are very popular here rigth now. And I think it's sad that Junos are are reffered to as "Canada's Grammys", anyone else think that the Junos are more americanized than they should be, or just like a carbon copy of the Grammys?

I agree with you that the junos seem kind of american. I think that the juno people need to do something to make the junos distinctively Canadian. I really like watching British awards shows because they are definitely, distinctively British.

That is a really good point about the junos favoring artists who have had American success. Canadians need to stop equating success with making it in the states. Not that everyone thinks that way, but it certainly seems like the juno people do.

I also wanted to say that success doesn't necessarily equal talent. A lot of successful groups out there, especially pop groups and singers, are successful because they are marketable. I think that awards like the junos should be given out based on several different factors, success being just one of them. It seems like sometimes the junos are given out based mainly on success. Because of that, some very talented musicians are overlooked because they haven't been successful on such a large scale as the winner.

anyways... sorry, that was kind of a rant!
