Dunno if this will work but thought it might be high time I posted my project on here. Post is a little disjointed as this is made up of my posts on DriftWorks forums and our own teamdriveby.com

Well after a year under wraps and then almost selling her and the Bimmer to buy an R33 saloon, I decided to keep the Starion project and get her on the road as there's loadsa 33's about. Here's some old pics you've probs seen before. Might have her on the road for Jap Show if I get paid enough by then lol.

She's an '89 widebody 2.6 and I have a stage 3 race head with cam and stainless valves. Pauter rods, JE oversize pistons, ARP head studs and metal gasket, Balance shaft removal kit, uprated oil pump and a few other extras. Just waiting for pay day to afford the ACT clutch and a Fidanza flywheel before the engine goes off to the shop for bore and balancing.

Bit scared of her wheels at the mo' but KYB's and coilover kit should cure that so the factory ADVANs will fit a little more snug:nod:

Now that's a PHAT ass lol
----------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys, been without internet so havin' to use the works PC to upload some new pics of my Dori Sha  Hope the engine doesn't look too :euge:

[IMG][/IMG] Nardi classic must be a real drifter LMAO

[IMG][/IMG] Almost built up now, just waiting for the custom zorst/turbo manifold before I drop it in.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Well starting to get somewhere now lol.

When I got her she had been stood so long the water in the brake fluid had caused the internals of the brake servo to rot and brake fluid leaked all over the inner wing and steering box. Lifting the paint.

[IMG][/IMG]

I gutted the engine bay and wire wheeled off all the surface rust then restored the brake and clutch servo's with new internals and seals to boot. the Steering box got a quick overhaul too and lick of hammerite :smash:

[IMG][/IMG]

I'll put some pics up tomorrow of the david copperfield ABS pump lol.
------------------------------------------------------------

Well here's poof the ABS has gone the way of the wind, a little less weight and a little more control :D

Just half an hour, a little bridging pipe then a bleed and all hunky dori:thumbs:

Modified the air box for now, but should get a little the air in a little easier and its a mod that cost sweet F.A.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]
----------------------------------------------------

Some progress at last, now that my life is getting back into some kind of order I've been able to make some time for my projects.

The engine no longer on a stand:euge: is sat where in should be and connected to the tranny via an ACT organic friction plate and Xtreme pressure plate.

[IMG][/IMG]

Took a while to get someone to be persuaded to cut the flanges for the exhaust/turbo manifold, but thanks to AMAC Engineering of Northallerton, the 10mm stainless now has some nice looking holes in it:smokin:

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

Now with a cobbled together bracket I have sorted the position the turbo will finally sit in and now it's off to a man I consider an exhaust God to make the pipework.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

Fingers crossed I'll have it back and ready to add the oil and water pipes within a month

Awesome. I love the rising sun engine, JDM/Bosozoku style it and you'd have one original machine!
