Hi guys i believe i've already been briefly introduced by Chris.
I've recently purchased a white 1989 2.0 turbo widebody from a local Mitsi dealer, was converted by Chris after falling in love with his 2.6 widebody.

However has already been said i've encountered my fair share of bad luck with the car firstly been crashed into by a woman at a roundabout and secondly loosing the car on a wet roundabout.

All this action means i am now looking for a front bumper lower apron and skirt (the part that goes around the intercooler and bottom of the bumper)

If anyone can help lease get in touch the assessor from the insurance company is coming to look at her nxt week to see if it is uneconomical to repair. I've been quoted £1700 to fix the above mentioned damage.

Anyhows here is some pics of the car in happier days.

Oh yeh by the way she has only had one owner from new before i got her and use it to commute to and from work (RAF). She has performed faultlessly every week, i absolutley love this car.

Cheers

DAN

Crikey!

sorry - I dont have any thing constructive to add by way of spare bumpers otherwise you'd be welcome to them.

If its a write-off, are they going to offer it to you to buy it back? Looks very clean and would be such a shame to scrap it or get rid if its only some front end damage, especially just bumpers etc.

At the very worst, it would break for some very sweet looking parts. (he says, eying up the wheels and several other bits that I'd pay a tidy sum for) but that would be a crying shame and should definately not happen. You must get it back on the road!!

Hi Dan,
Congratulations on your purchase, it looks very nice in the pic's. Sorry to hear about the damage, I have a spare nearside and offside lower front valance side piece but can only offer you the nearside (passenger) one as I may need to use the offside (driver) side one myself.
Drop me an email, if you're interested, I may also be able to get hold of a front bumper (in red): awensak@yahoo.co.uk
Regards,
Ash.

Before anyone says it, yes, the red one does have the wrong profile tyres on the rear!!

Thanks very much for the offers, i appreciate it enoromously.

I will give a brief list of what i need.

1. Front bumper
2.passenger side valence corner
3.full front valance ( peice that goes around the intercooler)

Thats it.

There is absolultey no way this is going to the scrappy or be slavaged for parts, she drives fantastic and is brilliant condition, no rot on it whatsoever.

It took me ages to find one as good as this so the insurance company can get lost if they think they're scrapping this.

All this damage was not even caused by that "little off" but bye the woman who crashed into me at a roundabout. It's really annoying, even though that she admitted full liability i am made to faff about hunting parts down.

The quote from mitsi to fix the damdge incl.paint and vat?

£4100, i can see why the majority of these car end up on the heap if this case is anything to go by.

DAN
