Morning Chaps
Was a great show and was really good to get a look at some other Starions (for the first time ever!!!)
I took mine but on Saturday it was on a mini stand (its a long story) and on Sunday it was on Retro-Rides forum stand.
A chap came to talk to me on Sat Monr (and I apologise sooooo much cos I cant remember your name!) very nice guy, I did want to talk to you more and I probably seemed rude, I was all in a muddle trying to sort some stuff.
I did look fo ryou later on but didnt spot you.
Starion stand was just below where I was parked and I did see you all, but by the time I had things sorted I couldn't see you anywhere. I kept popping back now and again but missed you.
Apologies for not coming and chatting, I really wanted to
I did however get a good look at your cars!! Awesome machinery there.
I spoke to BILTEL and DAVECAV on the sunday, they spotted me and came over. probably to mock my tat from the look of Biltels car; what aan awesome machine.
His car and the sprint have given me ideas!! Now looking for an everyday driver so I can strip my Starion down.
I didnt see any other Starions doing the sprint on the Saturday?
I took it steady on the first run, and unfortunately my clutch gave out on the second run (I was trying to show boat, dropped the clutch and poured on the power out of the hairpin to try and get the back end out and.... nothing. Just a lot of revs, smoke, and smell

so after that I couldn't launch well or get the power down out of corners cos the clutch was just slipping.
(no this isnt an excuse, you can ask anyone in the pits about the smell!!)
So, new clutch and some weight reduction and we'll see how it goes next year.
There was a black narrowbody on sunday too, showed up with a beautiful Lancer. Was a great show and it was good to see so many Starions!
Thanks a lot
Danny
