I recently responded to a mail on this site regarding a Starion 2.0 litre steering box and complete steering assembly including idlers, track rods, rod ends. The parts were all removed off my car once I knew the enquiry was serious. A price was agreed for the components.
Carriage / postage / courier were to be looked into seperately ( I nearly dropped the parts off at a hotel that Mr Martin Davidson was staying at, as I was passing it one week on the way to a friends. I had a bad day and left the parcels at home )
50% of the payment for the components was deposited into my acct.
Mr. Davidson probably thought I might try and rip him off. I wrapped 2 seperate parcels ( took about an hour and took them to the post office).
£24 for 21 kg, kept receipts etc... Parts now in the system. Mr Davidson then deposited the other 50% of the payment and only £12, sent me a txt saying we were going halves on the postage. I know we are only talking about £12 but just shows you that even a very well spoken man buying parts for his sons car can pull a fast one.
Not sure what this site is really about. Seems to be full of twats pulling strokes.
If I sound abit pissed off, thats because I am. I have sold a few parts on this site at reasonable prices. I know they are reasonable as I have paid alot more for the 'comp' parts to replace them.

I think i sold some parts to Martin too, If it was him, i met him at shenfield station and got payment in cash. It all went smoothly for me although he was quite the haggler. Maybe a genuine misunderstanding? hope you get it sorted either way mate.
