Hi guys am hoping you can help I have a 88 starion wide body and the idle is running way too fast... up to 3000...it just started this last sat...before that she had been running a little jittery when I gave her the throttle and she went above 4500/5000revs... have checked all hoses and everything seems fine any help you can give will be received greatfully

try the airflowmeter in the air filter housing.mine was doing the same then just totally died.changed this and it runs absolutely fine

Thanks Tim changed the meter now she won't idel... you can drive her but she will not tick over.... anyone with any ideas please help many thanks guys

hi i had simmiar prom all my cars i'd tenison the thortle cable to respond with out slack, but not the starion it it will idel like a beast if thiers tenison on the cable try this out before buying an airflow meter

Sometimes the Throttle Position Sensor plays up - You can disconnect it to find out if it is the culprit. If you need pics of it let me know.
