help wanted

im just posting this to ask could i change an ecu from one car to another without any problems or will i have to re program it.im also having trouble with the rad fan on it.the power wires are dead coming to it some one wrecked it before i bought it and ran it constantly.the relay was already changed and it is making no difference does any 1 no is there any special fuse that could be gone. any help greatly appreciated

Changing the ecu is fine and will cause no problems if its stock for stock or if the new ones moddified to remove boost limits etc. You can't swap manual and auto ecu though in case you're in the states.

As for the rad fan, there must be a fuse for it so check that. Check for broken wires to and just rewire the whole circuit if need be, shouldn't be that hard.

the one i want to fit is supposed to be chipped or remapped im not sure which it is and the old one was just standard would this make a difference?

Only one way to tell and that to swap it over and see how she runs!! I can't see it being a problem, most moddified chips have just the boost limit removed and simple stuff like that.

It shouldn't take more than 5 mins to swap it over, it's in the passenger foot well (Left hand side) just a few screws hold it to the panel and a couple of clips for the wires, just plug the new one in and start her, if she runs ok screw the new in job done.
