| Who knows anything about anti tramp bars???? i am thinking of fabricating some for my starion but don't know
a thing about them yet???? |

HI,anti tramp bars are for a live axle and leaf springs set up .It eliminates the distortion of the spring during load and release of load which causes the tramp effect.starions have independant rear suspention so i dont think you need them ..lee |

Starions have macpherson struts on the back. Leaf springs came on the early Fords (mk1 and mk2) among others, and these always get the anti tramp treatment. Leaf springs are 3 foot long strips of metal layered over each other with the axle attached in the middle. Torque can 'rotate' the leaves with the wheels, losing initial torque. | |
