As I do about this time every month, I want to thank you all for making this last Saturday’s show a great one. We unfortunately did not get to enjoy our fireworks but all of them will be saved for the next show. Mr. Clifton did an excellent job judging, as always. We hope to have him back real soon.
I have said many times before that there’s no way this club would be where it is today without the unbelievable dedication, help, and support from what I now like to call the VSBA Family. Whether it’s those of you who have been there from the beginning or those who have only been to one show. So from the bottom of my heart, I thank you all!
I try to never personally thank people for their contributions because I run the risk of leaving someone out. But I have to give a personal thank you to the Ladies of the VSBA, headed up by Lisa & Sharon who pulled together at this last show and raised enough money for us to be able to purchase a large tent for staging our dogs. Thanks to them, in August their will be extra shade for cooling down our dogs as well as ourselves. So I suggest that all of you personally thank them for their efforts in helping this club get better with every show.
With that said, as most of you already know August 4th & 5th is the 1st Annual VSBA End of Summer Blast. This is the weekend you do not want to miss! We have our judges and entertainment locked in and ready to go. Here’s the plan, we will start off our show Saturday morning with our special guest judge Bob Lummus!! After the show we will enjoy the music of Along for the Ride, and have some laughs with special guest comedians Gary & friends. All the while roasting hot dogs and marshmallows on our bon fire, making new friends, and talking dogs. Then everyone can retire to their tents and rest up to do it all over again on Sunday. We'll start off Sunday morning with an all you can eat breakfast, and kick off our show with our other special guest judge Brian Bailey!! We expect this to be our largest show ever, so tell all your friends and lets make this one to remember. Before the August show there will be a wall built between the weight pull area and the show ring. This will allow us to hold the weight pull while still having our show under the pavilion. Bring the whole family, we will have plenty of entertainment for all ages.
Please remember to bring lawn chairs, canopies, tents, sunscreen, bug spray, all the necessities you will need to stay the weekend, and of course an auction item. As I mentioned earlier we have some fireworks from this past show, so if you want to bring more feel free to do so. The response to this show has been like nothing before, and I assure all of you this is one you do not want to miss.
