Hmmmm, wonder if Daisy Fuentes might be available to be my co-star...
Don't mean to change the topic, but did you happen to see the program--"Most Amazing Animals" or something like that--recently that showed the incredible two-legged pussycat? I tuned in after the segment had started, so I don't know how the kitty was injured (hit by a car, I suppose), but both limbs on one side of its body were destroyed. Initially, if appeared that euthanization was the only option, but the vet thought the cat could be saved and made the decision to amputate its forelimb and hind limb, intending to worry about the cat's quality of life and how it might get about if the surgery was successful. The surgery went well and the vets were discussing what might done to enable the cat to ambulate (possibly by designing a wheeled device that could be strapped to the animal's body) and wondering whether it would even be capable of living anything approximating a normal life, when to everyone's amazement the cat came hopping into the room on its two remaining legs! It turned out that the cat's innate sense of balance enabled it to move about on only two legs (on the same side of its body, mind you) with almost the same ease as it had with all four limbs, including jumping up on furniture and countertops. It warmed the heart seeing the frisky feline's playfulness and enjoyment in pawing at a string dangled over it as the segment concluded.
Oh drat, my beer's getting salty again. Excuse me while I go look for a dry hanky.
