Fire him/her and get someone down there that does his or her job. The closest thing I've seen to firing someone was Algore's defeat in his own state because many of his state's voters felt he was no longer doing what they originally sent him to Washington to do. People need to let their reps know what they want. If the only people they hear from are the vocal special interest groups, then that's the platform they will go for. If it becomes apparent that an issue will hurt them in the voter booth, they will adapt.
