The military and civilian deaths in Afghanistan

Lt. Gen. Dan McNeill finally acknowledged Afghan civilians, many of them women and children, had been killed in a US airstrike. He claimed "we will determine what caused the civilian casualties." That would be easy; they were killed by American bombs dropped by a power mad Pentagon bureaucracy that doesn't mind targeting civilians and then making up some pretty skinny excuses. To top it off, Bush wants the Afghan people to know "our country values life, all life...!"A lot of contradictions and inconsistency in that last remark. Discusssion, anyone?
