He was turning 95 I believe at that time (tried to check in the archives but not up to that walk down memory lane tonight) and many of you obliged and I printed them all out to send to the young birthday boy. He was most pleased to be remembered. Well, I heard today that he passed away yesterday at the hospital. He had fallen the night before and was taken by ambulance. Broken hip...he either died during surgery or right after. I saw him at the Memorial Day service and he was in his uniform but sat in a wheel chair. Don't see many of those uniforms around anymore.
Anyway, just wanted you all to know that you truly did help make that birthday of his a very special one. It meant a lot to his son also....he's a retired Captain of the AF. He taken care of his father for the last few years.
