but I had some technical difficulties earlier in the week. The Wall is almost finished here in Greencastle. We had a great turnout, despite some unpleasant weather. Before this week, I had never had the honor of walking with a Vietnam Vet to the Wall. I have now! My feeling this week has been that if bringing the Wall here has helped 1 person, then it has been worth it. And, from what I have seen, and what I have been a part of, it definately has. I have seen people grieve for their friends and family, I have seen a community remember and honor it's fallen heroes, and I have seen Veterans take steps towards coping. Yesterday, in a ceremony we had a Chaplain said that we give medals and honors to remind us that we still owe people something. I wanted to say that I owe Vietnam Veterans (and all Vets) my deepest gratitude and respect. Your sacrifice is not forgotten, rest assure.
