Started to log on this AM to read the news; let Maggie and Gunther out when the house started shaking; thought my heater wuz gonna blow up so I made a hasty exit to da outside. Found my 9 mo pregnant neighbor flying out of her house, too; then Fritz showed up (anudder neighbor) so we decided we musta had an earthquake. My house is old, all the ceilings are wood; all the joists are exposed and some are 6x6. The windows are old and they wuz all singing. OK so it wasn't California but it sure got my adrenaline going! Oops, having anudder one! Maggie's crying so I better go. |
