Response to David Bowie - Dead Man Walking
This would have been a hit had they edited it differently for the single.
The "and I'm gone gone gone, now I'm older than movies" section I consider to be the chorus. It was chopped in half for the first chorus and completely removed from the second chorus. Also, that acoustic piano / vocal outro is wonderful, they should have kept that too. I think they should have instead removed other parts to trim the time down.
This is what I think the chords are (I'd rather work them out myself than check online):
Eb - Three old men dancing
F - under the lamplight.
Eb - Shaking their sex and their bones
F - and the boys that we were.
Eb - An alien nation in therapy
F - sliding naked and new, like a
Eb - bad tempered child on a
F - rain slicked street. And I'm
EbM7 - gone gone gone, now Im older than
F - movies.......... Let me
EbM7 - dance away, now I'm wiser than
F - dreams.......... Let me
EbM7 fly fly fly while I'm touching
F - tomorrow....... for I know who's there when
EbM7 - silhouettes fall. And I'm
Ab - gone like I'm dancing on
Gm - angels..... And I'm
F# - gone through the crack in the
F - past.......... Like a dead man
Eb - walking
F - like a dead man
Eb - walking
