Just read up on Sonik Kicks.... No wonder I could hear Oasis, Blur and Bowie. Noel Gallagher and Graham Coxon are actually on the album (Coxon is on 3 songs!)and Weller's wife is a Bowie fan. So Paul has been belatedly exposed to Bowie and it's rubbing off on his music. Back in the 80's & 90's Weller was not a Bowie fan by any means, so it's really interesting to hear Bowie's influence finally reaching Weller.
