It's a fair point about Garbo etc and I accept the view that Bowie is in someways entitled to his Garbo moment, but as gabe alludes there is intense media speculation 24/7, the Internet encourages roumour and counter rumour and all the rest of it.
Today's world is a bit of a game changer. I can see the argument for both sides, I suppose it depends on what we think as individuals what is the morally right thing to do.
