At the moment, it looks like books will not be available on the day... this signing is really just an intimate one for db (and Moz and Sparks and...) fans. I'll let you know if anything changes

Hey - that's my line! And I was about to say it! S'not fair!
Actuslly I have been a couple of these things before and found them a big yawn fest, so you'll just have to keep your powder dry for another day as I won't be there. But if anyone manages to get a pic of Mr V getting his head through the door I would be most interested to see it; and to hear views on the book, as I shan't be buying it just yet.

You shouldn't go, really. You'll need the money for a trip to California to look at the outside of a house where David Bowie used the loo. Much more important, IMHO.
Legendary Record Producer Tony Visconti Rocks in Apple Soho Store Podcast Series debut!
Brooklyn-born Tony Visconti lived in London for many years producing some of the biggest names in rock royalty including numerous albums for David Bowie and T. Rex as well as amazing works for Thin Lizzy, The Moody Blues, The Strawbs, Gentle Giant, and many others. His kung fu may be strong but his stories, wisdom and passion for music are even stronger. Check out the rough demo of Frank Black's tune "Cactus" from Bowie's Heathen CD featuring Tony on bass and David on drums. And his feelings about working on Morrissey's Ringleader of the Tormenters record with master film composer Ennio Morricone.
Oho! Shirley that's an offer he can't refuse.
Can I just say that the National Rail website is BLOODY annoying. Oh the gordian knotwork involved in working out the cheapest fare. Cos, like, most people would presumably prefer to have the £227.49 price shown first. Bah!
Where is everyone getting their copies of the book from? I never do the whole buying stuff online thing, but I'm prepared to make an exception in this case.

There is a pre order available from Amazon, with a pretty good discount. I have only ever pre-ordered one thing before, and I think I got it on the day of release.
That is indeed good news about the books - was wondering about ordering one.
Will you def be there, J73? Am hoping I will be. Will be fabbo to see you. Btw, Never for Ever is my favourite at the moment.
I think I definitely will be there. I have no good reason not to be, what with it being on a Sunday and me being a Londoner.
I'm glad you're enjoying Never For Ever . Isn't it marvellous? You should enjoy the early tracks on This Woman's Work Vol. 1 too, since they're from the same period.
Oh good - glad you'll be there. Another incentive!
Haven't got around to TTW yet - glad to hear it's in the same vein. I feel totally Kate-spoiled, it's brilliant! Today, I am particularly addicted to "All we ever look for" and "Army Dreamers."
