Was a hoax,or so they said,i really think they where testing the waters to see if people would be interested. After putting the idea out there & getting so much of a bad reaction, they fell back on this, http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/6714063.st
You sure Chris? OK, Endemol may be a bunch of idiots, but, I was taken in by it, even to the extent that I rejected some of the opinions of victims who suggested (on the BBC News) that the publicity was good. I even called my wife to watch the TV: ‘look at this, how dare they!' But, if they were clever, then how clever! In hindsight, it had April Fools written all over it.

I guess it got people tuning in, who would not necessarily tune into a program on organ donation, and when it had them, it made them think, so in that respect it worked. The original concept of the program was immoral and I am sure at this point in time could never have really been accepted, basically a gameshow where the winner gets a chance at a new life. It got people talking about donation so was quite clever in that respect.
