Re: More Photos from TC

I've stopped by two stores and there are no jackets or rebel tees, not even the first print shirt. And the sizes are very limited. The clerks said that this is all they had delivered. They didn't have any promo cds out, or in the back, although they were very interested in the line and the cd. Maybe on Sunday there will be more, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't, as we have such a backward market here.

I'm not so sure that they meant it to be any different than it is. If the lightning bolts were meant to be pointed they would have been. It really is better looking than the pictures, although I can't bring myself to even touch the shiny silver outer vest. It just looks cheap on the hanger. The pocket linings of the jeans are decorated with lots of little Aladdin Sane heads, very subtle, very cool! And the back pockets have the lightning bolts with the same flattened bottom but it ends at the bottom of the pocket so it fits the design. That's why I think the shirt is designed that way, to match the jeans. I must confess, I really want a pair of the jeans but they are super skinny and I have more backside and less frontside so I don't know if it's going to work. I might get a pair and take in some darts at the waist. Why don't they just make a women's line too?

Re: Bowie by Keanan Duffty: New Target range photos

The Target here in San Diego only had the hoodie, three of the shirts (a maroon one which I've not even seen featured,) the flash tee, the vest, bubble jacket and the pants. I opted to buy the grey shirt because I think its 'sick' to use the local venacular.
Good luck finding the cd, none of the staff knew anything about it, and using the info terminal there gave me a hand cramp after twenty minutes.
Is the grey shirt (old grey whistle test) really thin? I mean both the fabric and the cut.

Cheap naff looking clothes for people with no imagination to dress themselves?
Well as i said earlier i like some of them but hate the rest and them shirts do look nice, cheap or expensive it doesn't matter. They look good and if that's what catches your eye in a magazine or hanging in a shop and you like it buy it.That's what fashion is you like it wear it!Bowie was always linked with fashion and always will be musically and lookwise,i don't think he's that stupid to let something out there with his name on it without any input,IMO.
I like the the shirt with the lightning bolt, looks like they have a little different lightning bolts, like the jeans too, very cool and the grey shirt ( blouse) with the small letters/words/lines ( what is it?) i like best, that's rock and roll

I checked the local Target yesterday, but found nothing-- not a single shirt or vest! I'll check back on Sunday/Monday, though.
Somehow, I doubt Bowie had much involvement with this line other than probably giving the nod to use his name, or perhaps Duffty might've shown him some of the designs as a courtesy.
If Bowie had given more input into it, we'd likely be hearing about it more, wouldn't we?
I plan on hitting Target again this weekend to see if there is anything else new about, as well as the CD.
One of my younger brothers and I appreciated Duffy so much before this- we ran each other in Target the other day. He was all, "Heather, Heather, is the new Duffy line in yet?"
I mananged to convince him to a buy a piece, the striped hoodie, and then another for my other brother's birthday. I'm such a silly fan girl- I'll promote anything Bowie.
Damn I don't think there are any of these stores in the UK. Maybe Bowie's fallen out with us in Blighty.
Oh well I suppose I will have to comfort eat and cook that belly pork crackling joint tomorrow and get even fatter.

I'll be checking this weekend. The clothes don't really fit me, though. I tried on a black bubble vest and it's just too big. I bought my son a pair of jeans. They're just what he was looking for- black and kind of dressy and he really wanted them. He's thinking about Prom (high school dance) coming up. I bought him a KD white shirt with a black "guitars" tie the other day. Maybe I'll get him the vest to complete his 'look'. He didn't like that the bottom button on the vest doesn't work-sewn shut. I told him it's not supposed to be buttoned. He's thinking about it...
I want to get a pair of jeans for me. I tried on a pair today and they fit-if I take in the waist, but I need a longer pair than they had. I'm also thinking about a shirt in a large size to use as a nightshirt. Am I crazy??
Oh, and the hoodie has removable Bowie and KD pins. I want the Bowie pin).

I'm kind of surprised that anyone has seen the clothes in store, as on the news page... it says that they're not out until the 14th (tomorrow)
the clothes themselves... kinda hit & miss, isn't it.
I actually have some shopping I should do tomorrow (like cleaning supplies, etc)
so maybe I'll check to see if they've got anything in... I could use a new hoodie
but what's on the cd?
...oh wait...
lemme guess...
radio edits of tracks everyone already has and probably that newer version of Rebel Rebel (again), right?

i got a few pieces and 2 cd,s friday. the lightening bolt tee is EXCELLENT quality for the money $14.99 (about 7 quid )also got the london skyline shirt.wore the tee to work yesterday and got many nice comments.hardly anyone realised it was a bowie item, just thought it was a nice shirt. all the items except the puffa jacket are very well done.i am glad he made this cheap and accessible.... not high price designer otherwise i could not afford it. as for availability ...i was told the stuff was running a little late but should all be out by monday.i do not see why people are saying it is unimaginative.....it is no different from any other line of modern clothes. madonna did a line like this for a cheap store called H & M ....they all sold out in 2 days and are now collectors items.

Anybody know the direct link for the cd through the Target website, so that next time I'm there, I can actually present the completely incompetant and clueless staff with evidence of a sku #.

My brother - who lives in MA went to his local store for me - actually a brand new store that opened today by coincidence- they didn't have the CD but had three items from the range - white shirt, a hoodie and the puff vest.
So he ordered everything online apart from the CD - I guess it's eBay fo the CD then.
