I have a life sized cardboard stand up of B9, long story how i got him.
Plus my daughter and her late mum bought me a walking talking B9 robot, he stays wrapped in plastic, look don't touch, sorta thing.
You can buy real ones Ant, costing an arm and a leg, saw them on YouTube.
Think it was Bob May (the guy inside the robot suit) that said B9 was based on Robbie the robot from Forbidden Planet.
There's an excellent doco, been out for years on vhs called 'Lost In Space Forever'.

I can't understand why some TV channel hasn't picked it up for re-runs. It wasn't until much much later in life that I was told Dr Smith was a camp queen!. Oh the innocence of youth.

LOL! You mean you never sussed?
Camp as christmas dear and his fave hobby was crocheting (I kid you not) I saw him once on TVAM/GMTV he was over here to promote the sales of "Lost In Space" on dvd release.
He was the only member of the cast to be on 100% residuals.
He lived to be a very old man and died a few years back.
