GOD AND MAN the scheduled new publication by MARC SPITZ - not the swimmer, but the Vanity Fair and former Spin contributor - WAS writing a biography on DAVID BOWIE for Crown to be entitled: 'God And Man: The Definitive Biography of David Bowie'. Now cancelled.

Carrie Thornton at Crown has preempted the world rights in a mid-six-figure deal with agent James Fitzgerald.

The book was to chronicle Bowie's long career, his impact on the current music scene, his evolution as both musician and businessman, and his enduring legacy.

It was scheduled to be published by Piatkus Books in hardcover format and containing 400 pages this month on 23rd October 2008

So maybe there is hope for Bowie's book about the 'trans siberian express' (from the Dick Cavett interview) ??...yeah right. lol
But it would have been interesting.

Why do we need such a book?

I'm led to believe that this book will still be published but NOT by the original publishing agreement with Piatkus.

I'm looking forward to Sweety organizing the signing, well actually I am looking forward to the rugby match afterwards.
