Seems to be totally out of fashion, atleast here in the UK. It gets to associated with middle aged men with pony tails. Like the extremes of Dad Rock. Real shame because some of it's really good.
It had a bit of a comeback in the 80's then went away and hasnt really been back since.

<<For me the blues died with the death of Stevie Ray Vaughan>> so are you saying there were no blues befre SRV? that would make blues short lived then. What about the legends such as Johnny Lee Hooker?
Any Amercians here, would you say blues is still big over your way.
Last time Bowie attempted anything bluesy was Stateside. WHat a dismal song that was.
Well, 100% Brit (and apparently proud of it) is being a bit over the top when he says 8 hours [of Outside outtakes]. I'd love to know the truth concerning what 100% Git really has ~ Reeves Gabrels, 2003

<<The blues died when black people started rapping.>> you can't really compare the 2. One is from New orleans one's from the ghettos. If we are talking sources. Both co-exist, atleast in the states.
It's the devils music i tell ya Robert Johnson etc.
I don't think it ever went away as it formed rock n roll music,Beatles,Stones,Bowie(Jean Genie),Clapton and many more.
Even most indie bands nowadays depend on minor chords.
