Well, last Friday... ha im only a week late wink.gif

I went down to Gentry, Arkansas. There is a Drive-thru/Walk-thru Wildlife Safari which I hadn't been to in several years.

My main reason for going there was that I wanted to shoot(maybe enter) something besides flowers. wink.gif

I did get some pretty good shots. ihmo It was alittle difficult because of the fencing/caging issue but I did my best. happy.gif

Some really nice pix. I agree about the wasp one.

Those things with the horns look a bit like water buffalo. I've seen wildebeest swimming and they don't seem happy about it.

It was definitely murder - but was it art?

You're probably right (they have those there too)... I was in the car for that pic.

HI Mercury Blues,
thanks for uploading all those great pics, must have taken you ages! I really like the first one because of the contrast between the spider web, catching the light, against the dark, out of focus fence panels. Also like the shot of the deer resting in the shade and how their antlers are almost silhouetted against the sunny grass.

It must have felt pretty impressive being in the presence of some of those animals. I remember one time being at London Zoo and the Indian lion roared, it blew my socks off. Such a mighty, scary, deep roar. Almost like the engine of a massive sports car. I then realised that were it not for the fence he'd be the king of the jungle again.

Good luck with the competition.
