I didn't know that. I thought the Kon-Rads was a BOWIE BAND, like the Lower Third or the Manish Boys or the King Bees -- or the Spiders from Mars or Tin Machine.

It is my opinion, however, that the whole point of the Spiders from Mars and Tin Machine WAS Bowie, and those bands would NOT have worked if The Gentleman had left them. Like I may have once said, Tin Machine WAS David Bowie and David Bowie WAS Tin Machine. Ditto for the Spiders.

belive it or not, but there was a time when Bowie was not a mega staf. In the early days, he was just a member of a band eg King Bees, Konrads. So to them it would seem perfectly acceptable to carry on when their lead singer leaves - just get a new lead singer.
The Spiders from Mars also continued after Bowie lost interest in the Ziggy thing.

A new lead singer nowhere near as sexy, as angel-voiced, or as talented as The Gentleman! I mean, even before he really made his mark, Bowie was Bowie and couldn't be replaced. No one had, has, or ever will have a voice like his
