This sort of things get the wheels spinnin!

June 10 2009, 2:47 PM

Let's say he was up for, say, a 30-song show. Split into two sets with a very brief intermission. What could he play and how would the setlists be (yet, because he can be cool like that wink.gif , we can leave it open for him to call out a number at a moment's notice and incorporate that into it all.. Ahh, something cool for the likes of me to ponder then! Get back to ya shortly! wink.gif

Hey, what's Baby Universal doing on your joke setlist? I would be interested to hear the Earthling era re-recording of Baby Universal.

'Ultimate Bowie setlist?' is the DFS SALE NOW ON! thread of BowieWonderWorld, it always pops up throughout the year.

<<Hey, what's Baby Universal doing on your joke setlist? I would be interested to hear the Earthling era re-recording of Baby Universal. >> well not as a joke but in contrast to the next track. Maybe to keep the consistancy I will take out Baby Universal for Too Dizzy... happy now? wink.gif

He did play it live in mid 90's sometime.

My Set List For Bowie

June 10 2009, 5:20 PM

My choice would include many stage favorites and a couple of suprise tracks. but as much as I love "Quicksand" I'd not want to hear it live again, because for me that song made the 1997 tour so special. I's also prefer not to hear "Under Pressure", Rebel Rebel" or "China Girl" live again.

01. Watch That Man
02. Something In The Air
03. The Man Who Sold The World
04. Space Oddity
05. All The Madmen
06. The Jean Genie
07. All The Young Dudes
08. Sweet Thing
09. Goodbye Mr Ed
10. The Motel
11. Aladdin Sane
12. Strangers When We Meet
13. My Death
14. Slow Burn
15. Station To Staion
16. Diamond Dogs
17. Stay
18. Heroes
19. New Killer Star
20. Survive
21. I Can't Read
22. Baby Universal
23. Never Get Old
24. Diamond Dogs
25. Time
26. Don't Bring Me Down
27. Rock n Roll With Me
28. Absolute Beginners
29. Starman
30. Rock n Roll Suicide

Encore:

31. Billy Porter (Dedicated to Ronno)
32. Moonage Daydream
33. Queen Bitch
34. Ziggy Stardust

Diamond Dogs twice? (Once would be more than enough for me)

At this stage, shouldn't he be openning with "Waiting for the Man"?

My mistake

ah! but the second version could be a new 2009 version! and "waiting for the Man" would be a great opening song I agree!

Bowie should do a Sparks. He should have done it first!

First to last studio album live and then retire!
