Yeah, that's another possible image for it. Definitely Diamond Dogs era.
Do you think it's a photo? I thought it was a painting. I must try to figure out where it came from. Sadly Guy Peellaert died last November so I suspect he didn't do it...looks like someone has done it after him.
I've obsessed about La Roux's Quicksand for some weeks. In For the Kill was a major one in my house for a while too. But it wore off for lack of musical backbone. I hear the songs and keep wishing a new instrument enters in some key moments...
The "minimalism" of the production is a bit disapointing, at least in the tracks I heard, sounds like the worst of the 80s. At first I was enthralled by her voice, but I find the songs seem too naked, too bare, they lack sophistication, a bass, a guitar here and there or more robust keyboard and synths arrangements............
I'd like to see them expanding and becoming a trio, or a quartet. Add some musicians there....... At any rate, I think they do have attitude and I'm curious about their development.
I'm not sure of my verdict having just watched 'er?
She was late on stage ( a 'hairspray issue' apparently ) and I must confess, she did a couple of great songs, but overall, she didn't grab me like Ms Goldfrapp did at first.
