"Playboy: What plans have you got for your live shows?

Little Boots: I want to do a David Bowie Glass Spider-type of tour - something really big, ridiculous and over the top. I dont have the money yet, but the more money Im given, the more Ill be spending on my ideas. Eventually for my live show Id like proper visuals something space age and I want to come on stage on a unicorn."

"Essentially, Ive just based my live set on David Bowies Glass Spider tour. The inspiration is pretty much that and Kate Bushs Tour of Life. But I dont know which of these grand plans will work out. You can imagine what its like going up to your record label and saying, Hi, can I have a grand for some fibreglass wolves from America, please? But live shows should be visual and exciting.

I want this to be about musicianship, which is why I think the giant Tenori-On will be good you can see the sound being made. One of my ultimate aims is to make a laser harp, like Jean Michel Jarres... so actually the live show, in my dreams, is a mix of the Glass Spider tour and Jean Michel Jarre."

"What's been interesting you of late?

I just got the full works of the Gibb brothers which I've been completely obsessed with. I'm listening to 'em now. I've also got really into this guy called Klaus Nomi who was an opera singer from Berlin, based himself in New York in the '70s, and sang synth-disco songs and wore really crazy stuff. David Bowie was a big fan of his - you should check out his videos on Youtube - they're amazing.

If time, money and death were no object, who would you like to collaborate with?

"Maybe Klaus Nomi actually. Or Debussy...God, that's a wanky answer isn't it?! Let's say David Bowie, I just watched the Glass Spider tour live footage on the plane and it was amazing. And I always fancied him in Labyrinth."

Maybe she could buy some of David's old props from him.
