He's always asking for stuff! What does he want? Someone to buy him a 7" of Rebel Rebel and Holy Holy because his is worn out? I bought my first Holy Holy years ago and it hasn't 'worn out'. Records last for ever if you look after them... and if you don't, well, there's always eBay!
All I am suggesting is that maybe someone who's benefitted from downloads which have been provided to or linked to, free, offers up a single track or two like these.
The problem is that once somebody has provided these you will come back and start nagging for the next torrent.
I remember Maarten shared a rare stereo version of the 1971 BBC concert in MP3 and the first thing you asked if it couldn't be made available in lossless. You're sad.
I've torrented a lot of things lately, and stopped mentioning some of the things as Nobbler and "Toby" like to have a field day nagging and taking the piss, as they seem to have absolutely nothing better to do. You pop up every so often to wade in - another of their noms de plume? Odd that.
I torrented the Baton Rouge 78 and I don't even like the recording myself, but I thought, well, I'll give it a go, see what might come back.
I encounter a lot of "what's in it for me!?" from some Bowie fans, and not much of, I've got that free, someone would enjoy that, I'll let them know, or torrent it.
True, I took a while to master torrenting myself, but I've done my best to get news out to people who don't actually comb every single torrent site every single day - not everyone has the time or inclination to do that.
And yes, it's possible I've missed some torrents from the past through being late to catch the boat there, nothing wrong with trying to catch up.
I put up an early pressing of Resurrection on 84th Street recently on Demonoid, since the official release is noticeable by its absence.
I got a comment from someone saying "I don't know why they pick on you", I suspect Toby, and maybe Nibbler too were bullied at school, and now they are trying they feel it is their turn to have a go. That's what I call sad.
Apparently, I "shouldn't ask" for things (back) because "some get annoyed".
No-one has to read this, or respond (frequently people don't : ) ).
If anyone feels they are target of 'guilt-tripping' over torrenting, just as I was told I should torrent too (which I do now), maybe they could put up or shut up?
I'm asking about one track, Holy Holy, mostly, which apparently I blinked and missed when it was torrented a few years back, so I'm not supposed to ask on here for a re-torrent...I get it...
