As a long term David Bowie fan is it correct to assume that the great man has now all but retired as it has been 6 years since his last album and five years since the end of the Reality tour due to ill health. Whilst I appreciate you will be bound by client confidentiality a small hint at retirement or some forthcoming Bowie activity would be appreciated
Got this back
nothing formal to say on the subject,David hasn't retired as such....just not touring or anything like at the moment Graham.

Inconclusive I know but maybe the nearest to an official statement. I emailed again
Thank you taking the time to reply, would you be able to let me have his direct email so I can ask him myself (just joking)
Heres hoping he keeps you busy in the not too distant future and if you are in contact with him please tell him his fans would like to know one way or the other.
Got this in return
Yes,would love David to get us all working again...will pass on your comments at the opportune moment Graham!!

Leave the man alone! If David Bowie wants to do something he will. Hasn't he done enough or something? I know if I was in his position and somebody who's not from the press pestered my press office, I'd be less than pleased. I'd be less than impressed with the Diamond Dogs DVD and 'come out of retirement' petitions too. Rubbish!
David Bowie had an acutely blocked artey and needed an op to clear it. If anyone here has or knows someone who has had this procedure they will understand that the heart is damaged! and even after a stent it is unlikely that the blockage was cleared100%
David will be no doubt get great medicare, but,he will probably have to use a coro-nitrate pump spray for the rest of his life.
Glycery nitrate sprayed under his tongue will ease his angina pains as he feels them.
Even after five years he will probably still have heart damage.
Angioplast rarely clears the blockage 100% as there are varying degrees of success with this procedure.
For Bowie to ever tour again he will have had to have had a 100% success with the op and the heart will have had to have healed and without any traces of angina! The guy is in his sixties and it don't take a genius to understand why he is putting his family first.
It's ludicrous to pester the man and his work colleagues like this. What's wrong with people? Don't they think the Outside Organisation have enough to deal with at the moment? One of their clients has just DIED for God's sake!
Sean, you wouldn't be calling me gorgeous if you could see me.
And Stranger. Give it up. The name is Annie. You can call me never. You're making yourself look even more stupid than you are. Difficult, I know.
Everyone knows who you really are, I was just checking you were not using duplicate id's, which given the amount of name changes you go through, was a fair question.
I think it's fantastic at least someone takes the time to get some official bowie news.
And I don't get it why those people get pissed on as usual.
If David wants to be left alone he shouldn't have become a rock star in the first place. That's another way to look at it.
It's simply an outrage to not let anything know to the fans after all this time, after all these vague hints and promises.
You just can't walk away like this, it's disrespectful to the fans to act as if they simply don't exist.
These days I'm more ashamed than proud to be a Bowie fan.

What's your problem? DB has absolutely no obligations to us. Because YOU are a fan (your choice, not his) does not give you any right to claim.
If you are a real fan, you should respect his choice and be grateful for the wonderful music he has given us. Why don't you enjoy his vast and varied catalog in stead of moaning. Just give him a good time!
Given that Bowie has a subscription based fan website, with one of the benefits being priority ticket booking, I think it's a very reasonable question to pose. Why pay for priority ticket booking if there are no concerts(?)
DB owes us nothing & I've presumed he's retired. If anything else is released, it'll be a bonus.
If he did play live again I seriously don't know if I'd go and see him, anyway. I like to remember the 2002 Bowie as his curtain-call.
My father-in-law had a similar angioplasty, although at a greater age. It kept him quite active for years, until his valves wore out in his eighties. He did take a lot of meds.
I recollect that Howlin' Wolf in his last years could only play in towns with veteran's hospitals, as he had to have dialysis every few days. He must have been made of railroad steel, as dialysis is such a debilitating procedure, much less doing it on the road.
