"It's great to see an artist like Bowie releasing stems for remixing. His site isn't clear about what you can do with the stems, though.

Can you share remixes on the Internet? Can you use the stems to make derivative works? If you make a new mix and put it on Kazaa, are you going to get sued for $1.92 million?"


Will it be like the NIN deal a year or two back where you could create yuour own mixes with other music? If so I look forward to hearing some wonderful thnigs by yo all. Err alot of rubbish aswell.

Mr. Bowie has indicated that he's comfortable with what the Internet gets up to...this may test that.

You never know the real story.

Well, I'm certainly aiming for an amateur remix - and yes I'll share if anyone deems it interesting enough.

Though I would anticipate there will be limitations to what one can do with the 'stems'/tracks made available anyway - not legal limitations just limitations.
