oh, she really was. noosha. lovely, mannered voice (i remember thinking she was a female brian ferry - ha!)- 'single bed' & 'imagine me, imagine you' (title? correct? who cares?): great pop tunes.
fakinell, i had a paper round when they released those songs. where'd the time go?
edit: "single bed, single bed, ain't no room for your sweet head"
does that make this tediously bowie-specific fer all you tediously bowie-specific cnuts?

I had a paper round in '75 too, lol. I remember Xmas 'compliments of the season' tips as well - I got 9 quid! The things you could get then for £9.00!! First on the list was the bleedin' Bohemian Rhapsody single and a pair of patch-pocket 'bags' trousers with three buttons on the waist band.
Some 'wedges' rounded them off nicely, lol!

but I had a sunday round - you know the big papers with the supplements and no 'double time' for the trouble. No wonder I've got back trouble now and walk like a c**t.

tino i had a morning, sunday & evening round back then...such a money-grubbing capitalist, i was. shortly after, i graduated from paper-boy to 'f-f-f-fetch yer cloth, granville'. then i was really quids-in. instead of singles, i started buying albums...much of my collection of early-mid 70s vinyl dates from that period. i bought loads of lps. nice.
edit: so what?

I've got the second Fox album, Tales of Illusion on vinyl. Loved the Strange Ships singls but the album version has a strange extended mix with a male vocal in the middle. Doesn't work for me!
When you see the founder members:
Noosha Fox (real name Susan Traynor) Kenny Young Herbie Armstrong Jim Gannon Pete Solley Gary Taylor Jim Frank
There were actually a lot of famous 70s session musicians. Young also composed the song "Under the Boardwalk" for The Drifters in 1964
