Went to a gig last weekend to see Marianne Faithfull perform for the very first time.
Opening for her was the mighty Joe Jackson Trio.
Halfway through the set:
"We're gonna do a song that I haven't written myself. It's by one of my personal heroes
that are still alive, which are a few. It's by David Bowie."
Or something like that anyways, and it turned out to be a lovely rendition of "Scary monsters, super creeps".
Made me a very happy man indeed.
LAter on they did a song together, which was "something nobody else will get" according to Marianne.
