Marathon Man

Next week I will be running my 100th marathon.

I ran my first marathon, aged just twenty, for charity in 1984. I received my MBE in 2004 for services to charity and sadly my father died just before I met the Queen.

The Queen asked me when I would stop running and I replied earnestly that I would beat Sir Jimmy Savilles record, she said we may meet again if I would do that for charity.

I think Sir Jimmy ran over 200!

Hope my legs last that long.

"just before I met the Queen"

Is that another way of saying "just before you became gay"?

100 is nothing!

there are people that have run over 500.

doubt I will do that as my foot is not brilliant now and also one of my knees is weakening.

Chuffing hell Sean!!!!

Good luck with it.

On December 14, 2008, 64-year old Larry Macon set a record by running 105 marathons in a single calendar year
