It was a photo of a Koala taking a drink from a Fireman during the Bushfires
it was such a touching photo ..sadly she passed away,,she had a disease
that affects Koalas due to Stress ..it just too much for her..she did
help the plight for the Animals also affected by the Bushfires, may
she rest in Peace.

YER!! I know what you mean,,but I think the main thing about Aussie
Animals they are really unapoachable,,and to see them out of their
place is rare..

I remember going to the koala exhibit at the San Diego zoo some years ago. They might as well have hung plush toys from the trees because the little bastards don't do anything in the daytime but sleep. I proposed stirring them up with a rubber band, but was prevented.
Em !!!! all the Aussie Critters are Night Critters,,Kangaroos,Wombats etc
all come out at night that's why One sees a lot of dead bodies on the road
as the headlights of cars blind them .

They might as well have closed the exhibit so the beasties could get their beauty rest. Sounds like Aussie wildlife favors the rock 'n' roll lifestyle, with simiar consequences.
Bats thinks that is Yukky!!!!,I have this friend who has all her Pets stuffed
and they are everywhere in her house, really gives me the Creeps,I think the
photo enlarged who get the Message though for Sam.

I once encountered an exquisitely mounted ginger cat in a glass case at an antique shop. I probably would have bought it had my sister (with whom I shared digs) not put her dainty foot down. In hindsight, it was pretty creepy.
Sam the koala was put down after developing complications relating to a Clamydia infection - the tragedy remains the loss of 173 people in the fires.
And what everyone seems to forget (or perhaps not know) is the fact that the footage of Sam was taken BEFORE the Black Saturday fires, in a fire that was part of a controlled burning exercise.
