Bowie's best dance song? August 11 2009 at 6:57 PM sam (Login whitecaps ) BW Member Hi. I am very surprised about what I feel is Bowie's best dance song. My choice is staggering and unexpected. So grab a mug, steaming hot, and come back.
My choice is The Secret Life Of Arabia. Man does this thing boogie! It is the best dance song and it comes after a series of quiet landscapes. And then out of nowhere does this song boogie in the middle of oblivion.
This song is meant for a team of two talented dancers. There is nothing to hold anyone back. It goes all the way.
So what is your choice for Bowie's best dance song?

'Stay' can get you shakin' the money maker!! 'You start out wrinkled and you cry...you end up wrinkled and you die.'

BlueJean is a killer dance track chock full of little incidental trick-beats, glorious horns and a wildly infectious hook that simply steals the breath away. And its got those konky wooden percussive sounds that lend the foot money to
move-it move-it
I love the frenzied excitement that surrounds BlueJean!!! And his voice "crackles" the way I like it.... I
could go on, but I needn't for its brilliance speaks for itself.

Blue Jean - that's a very cool and unusual song to choose (by the way, your description of it is spot on, Mr Obvious)! The Secret Life Of Arabia, Stay and Golden Years are of course also excellent songs when it comes to moving your feet.
My pick would be You Belong In Rock 'n' Roll

the one that really makes me dance around the house is "looking for lester" it has a killer beat and is easy for the rythmically challenged to move to. i sometimes cut a rug to john i'm only dancing (again) especially the funky james brown bit at the end.

I've with Mt Obvious - Blue Jean has it.
Fascination is another dancable (or is it dancible) track.
Be seeing you.
