Boba Fett was the fictional bounty hunter who appeared in The Empire Strikes Back & Return of the Jedi. He famously bought Han Solo to Jabba The Hut after Han was frozen in Carbonite on Cloud City. Han was double crossed by Lando Calrisian, but Lando later redeemed himself by helping the rebel cause.

I think Boba Fett died in Sarlacc's pit on Tatooine when Luke Skywalker helped organise Han's escape, as I remember, a semi-blind Han accidentally knocked Boba Fett off one of the hover ships and his rocket back pack fired him to his death.

A Boba Fett type character was resurrected for 2 of the more recent Star Wars prequels. I think this was because focus groups considered him to be one of the coolest characters (unlike Jar Jar Binks).

Unless Bats really did mean Feta cheese.

I believe Mr. Fett also had a son named Django. Or was his dad named Django - that prequel business makes it hard to keep track.

Jango Fett was Boba's dad and was the original template for all those CGI clones that run around in the prequels.
