The man who is accused of her kidnap fell in love with her and has actually cared for her.
He housed her in a beautiful landscaped garden in California and even gave her the wonderful gift of children.
Unlike most kidnappers who enslave their victims or even drug them and use them as prostitutes this guy gave her a life, clothes and food.
It is a love story and she should be grateful for his love and adoration.
She could have met a wife-beating drunk who abused her daily.

To the outside world, Jaycee Lee Dugard's garden prison seemed like any other suburban backyard in Antioch, California, but the true horror had been carefully hidden.
The second backyard, at the rear of convicted sex offender Phillip Craig Garridos garden, was concealed from neighbours behind a series of fences, sheds and tents.
It could only be reached through a piece of tarpaulin, which had been innocently hung, while trees and shrubs made it near invisible.
The backyard compound had electricity from extension cords and a rudimentary toilet and shower, "as if you were camping", police said.
Police also found hidden in the backyard a car that matched a description originally given of the vehicle driven by Miss Dugard's kidnappers.
Miss Duggard had been kept in the backyard compound, where at least one of the structures was soundproofed, since she was snatched from her school bus stop back in 1991, when she was 11.
Miss Duggard, now 29, lived there with Garrido a 58-year-old registered sex offender and religious fanatic, who lived in the house with his wife Nancy, 54 and his mother.
She was discovered after a chance encounter between police and Garrido, who has a string of offenses dating back to 1971 and was a registered sex offender on parole in California.
Police said her captors kept Miss Dugard, and her two daughters, aged 11 and 15, that she allegedly had with Garrido, in a "backyard within a backyard".
It was shielded from the outside world and protected them from the outside world," said Fred Kollar, El Dorado County undersheriff.
"The tents and outhouses in the backyard were placed in a strategic arrangement to inhibit outside viewing and to isolate the victims from outside contact.
"It is like she has been camping for the past 18 years.
He added: (Miss Duggard) was in good health, but living in a backyard for the past 18 years does take its toll.
Authorities have been forced to defend their handling of the case after it emerged they visited the home on several occasions because Garrido was on the local sex offenders registry and even searched the backyard.
Local reports also suggested that police had been told about the hidden backyard before.
Neighbour Erika Pratt said that two years ago, she called police after seeing what looked like a living compound with tents and sheds.
"I always wished someone could do something about it," she told the San Francisco Chronicle.
"It was like he was charging people to live there."
A local sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee confirmed to the paper that his agency had dealt with Garrido before, but he was not able to provide details.
"We need to investigate it further to determine what that contact was," he said.

You can have a lot more normal an upbringing and still be scarred for life. An awful thing from the story was that the girl's stepfather actually saw her being taken, but all he had to pursue them was a mountain bike. So he's scarred too.

Jaycee Lee Dugard's aunt, Tina Dugard, says the family is reconnecting and renewing family bonds that she says have not been broken in the 18 years that Jaycee has been missing.
In a press conferene in Los Angeles, Tina Dugard read a three-minute prepared statement in which she said Jaycee and her two daughters are spending time with her mother, Terry Probyn, and her younger sister. They are at an undisclosed location. She said she spent several days with them also and they spent the time laughing and crying and getting to know each other. She said the smile on her sister Terry's face is "as wide as the sea."
Jaycee Dugard's daughters, 11 and 15, were allegedly fathered by the man now charged with her kidnapping, Phillip Garrido, 58.
"This is a joyful time for my family," she said. "We spent time sharing stories and getting to know each other again. Jaycee remembers all of us and she's enjoying getting to know her younger sister."
Jaycee's sister was a baby when she was kidnapped from her South Lake Tahoe neighborhood while walking to the school bus stop. Jaycee, now 29, was 11 when she was abducted.
Tina Dugard did not provide any details about Jaycee's captivity. She said Jaycee's daughters are bright, curious girls.
"Jaycee did a truly amazing job with them with the limited resources and education she had and we are so very proud of her," she said.

The news reports are saying the kidnap victim is apologizing to everyone for bonding with her kidnapper. The neighbors are stating that during backyard get togethers the kidnap victim was seen happily horseplaying with her captors and seeming very comfortable.
The guy should be tortured. People should be terrified of the punishment that will come to them if they commit these kinds of crimes. Also it's ridiculous the man only served 10 years of a prior sentence for rape. Legal systems in the western world have become far to kind to criminals. How can someone rape a woman for hours and be punished by having a home and food provided for them at no expense for 10 years? That's practically what prison is.
If torture isn't an option, I think rape and child molestation should be punishable by death. It'll never happen though. I'm just a hate mongering bigot who wants to protect women and children.
