i am a giant fan of hope sandoval and the warm inventions and even more of mazzy star. so it was with great pleasure and anticipation that i read today that hope has a new inventions CD dropping sep 29th (the first in 8 years ?) and there is a new mazzy star album almost finished too. to make things even better the goddess of all things dreamy , shoegazey and sublime is playing a small venue in atlanta in october. joy ! she may be coming to your town too.2 tracks are previewed on her myspace.

The album has been on the music download blogs for several weeks. It's lovely.

I agree Nibbler, it's a lovely album. Enjoy the Atlanta show Iggyziggy - I'm seeing her at the Southbank Centre in November. Seated, right up the back, but looking forward to it.

I saw Mazzy Star live once. Every song sounded the same, with the same sad tempo and the same sad lyrics. Can anyone comment?

You've got a point but if you happen to like the same sad tempo and sad lyrics, they could be the perfect band.
