I often wondered how facebook / myspace effect things - and have often pondered how a theoretical networking site when Bowie was starting would've looked. Or imagine how it would be treated in books written about the era now. Would we treasure screen grabs of Bowie's status update after the '73 retirement? His top friends changing after he sacked a band? Or would he just not have had one because it directly effects the audience / star boundries?

It would have been an interactive version of 'Tiger Beat' magazine and he would have been all over it, though probably in the character of Ziggy. He might have made it to Prime Minister.

Always crashing...
