Personally speaking, I think Bowie's glory days were on RCA.

Sure, he's released a couple of decent albums since "Scary Monsters".

Heathen being the best imo.

In the 1970s, he was miles out in front.

After 1980, it was much more sporadic brilliance.

Two things:

1) the frequency of new albums dropped to half the rate of before

2) the frequency of big international hits was mostly a dry well after 1985.

67 - 83 was pretty flawless.
Even inbetween 80 - 83 he released a run of fantastic singles.
