Glass Spider

Was the spoken intro DBs attempt to recreate the spoken intro on Diamond dogs?

I guess he is allowed to copy his own ideas but...

The tour contained a lot of elements from the DD tour and could he have been so deluded to think he could re-capture past glories with The Glass Spider?

I gave it a whirl today and it's cringey to be frink!

Glass Spider is a bit pompous but enjoyable.I prefer it to Serious Moonlight.
The theatrics and the setlist.

A big disappointment to Bowie fans was that the DD tour was only seen in the states. Maybe he though he was giving the fans what they wanted... wink.gif

I was listening to the CD today too. I didn't see the tour but I can imagine that it worked better on film with so many people on stage. Interesting that 'Too Dizzy' was dropped from the NLMD album after Bowie apparently disowned it. I wonder if it will ever re-surface.

Too Dizzy....

Can't believe 'Too Dizzy' made it onto the final tracklisting of original CD?
Has to be one of DB's worst ever recordings? Never play it.

Sean

replication?

I don't think so..

'Future legend' was far more poncy..

I mean who understands... 'no more leg warmers' these days?

as opposed to 'ja ja ja' ...

which is almost like spider like.
