All Pink Floyd titles have been released as remasters since 1992.
These papersleeve releases are from these same remasters.
When Floyd releases something, it takes a lot (and I mean a lot!)
of waiting time and delays, but the quality of the releases is
always astounding. There's no need for re-remastering...
We are just waiting for the long-overdue (yes, I said waiting
and delay, again...) Wish You Were Here 5.1 to be released
on SACD (or have they decided on another format for this one?),
the album-cover is already finished for over a year now, so
we now just need the disc... |

I was actually hoping they would have done all the albums in 5.1. I know Dark Side of the Moon already is but only in SACD. It should be in a more universal format. |

You can find the DSOTM SACD as an DTS "rip" on the internet.
Also available on the internet is the Alan Parsons quad mix of DSOTM
and quad mixes taken from 8-track cartrigdes of WYWH en Atom Heart
Mother. These you can burn to a cd or dvd depending on whether it's
a 48 kHz or 44.1 kHz rip. |
