I think this is a grat song and probabally one of the stronger songs from Buddah. It is difficult to say exactly whay it is good as it has a fairly unusual chord construction. Lyrically is it fairly interesting too.
I tend to think of this album as a natural progression from Low and Heroes. I never really saw how Lodger was clumped together with the other 2 apart from the fact that it was made in Berlin too (or most of it...)
For me it was 'The idiot' more than 'Lodger'?
'Buddha' 'Outside' and 'Earthling' were just as important but not recognised as much? After those three bowie stopped experimenting and was there just to please!
Musically everyone looked to bowie for guidance and followed, or was inspired to try something new.We could do with another 'Buddha' NOW?

Heathen was fairly exsperimental. Reality less so but it does have its moments. I think its about time David got to work on those 2.Contamination tapes.

So many questions, so few actual questions (ie none). Your protracted absence could have been used to learn some English grammar Dogz, but instead you're worse than ever.

In response to: "The title track aside, all of BOS is shit."
No, it's not. IMHO it's one of Bowie's best albums, and one I never seem to grow tired of. Much better than Hours, Heathen and Reality. It's up there with Low/Heroes/Lodger.
In response to: "Half of it sounds like Garsonesque jamming."
No, it doesn't. And even if it would, is that supposed to be a bad thing, "Garsonesque jamming"?
