OK there is the new Daft Punk take of Heroes album cover


But have you ever noticed the album cover of Teardrop Explodes - Wilder which though not the same pose is very reminiscent of it.

I seem to remember reading in Peter and Leni Gilman's Bio of David years ago that the pose david strikes on the cover of Heroes was based on a painting in a Berlin art gallery. Can't remember which one though so if anyone does know, please post here. Incidentially, the same can be said of Iggy's 'the Idiot' cover althpugh I think he is trying to resemble a swastica.

The album cover of The Walker Brothers' 'Nite Flights', released in 1978, had, as a sort of hommage to Bowie and Eno's work, a typeface/font similar to that of 'Heroes'.



The year after, Bowie returned the gesture with 'African Night Flights' on 'Lodger'.
