What a legend.
I bought his cd yesterday as I've wanted Two little Boys for ages (no jokes please).
I forgot about all the other greats like Jake the Peg,Tie me kangaroo etc.
Most definately an honorary brit.
On cd 2 Rolf covers Stairway to Heaven which is better than Zep.
Also Smoke on the Water which is a bit crap. But it's crap anyway.
Walk on the Wild Side.Sounds like a karaoke verion.
Bad Moon Rising.Nice music but Rolf can't sing.
Ob-la-Di.Maybe the Beatles weren't that bad after all.
Honky Tonk Woman. Not bad at all.
Named after Rolf Boldrewood, an Australian writer his mother admired, he was born in Bassendean, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, Australia, to Cromwell ("Crom") Harris and Agnes Margaret Harris (née Robbins) who had both emigrated from Cardiff, Wales. He is the nephew of Australian artist Pixie O'Harris, (1903-1991), i.e. Rhona Olive Pratt, née Harris.

I saw him at the Troubador in the late 70s...an intimate show. I recollect passing a drawing up to him during the show of a kangaroo doing something nasty in its pouch. Got a laugh from him.
I saw (and met) Rolf last year at the ARIA Hall of Fame ceremony. Fantastic guy.
My sister mentioned that over in the UK he's had some TV shows. Looking at wikipedia, these are called Animal Hospital and Rolf on Art, neither of which I've seen but they sound interesting.
